qPCR

The molecular diagnostics facility at the Sierra Nevada Aquatic Research Laboratory conducts testing of samples using quantitative PCR (qPCR) assays. Commonly-used assays include those to detect the amphibian chytrid fungus (Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis – Bd) and pathogenic bacteria. Samples include those collected as part of our research projects, or submitted by project partners or other entities. Samples are analyzed at cost.

If you are interested in using this service, please contact us to discuss details related to sample collection and shipping. If your samples are to be analyzed using the Bd assay,  please read the Bd protocol for details regarding sample collection, analysis, and billing.
