Little published information exists regarding the species that occupy Sierra Nevada lakes and ponds, so we’ve compiled the information from our studies into a single document. This list is based on samples collected and observations made from Sequoia, Kings Canyon, and Yosemite National Parks, and adjacent portions of the Inyo and Sierra National Forests. Despite the years of effort that went into compiling this information, numerous taxa inhabiting this region were certainly missed. In addition, although many of the invertebrate identifications have been verified by taxonomic experts, some errors undoubtedly remain. [PDF]
